- Being a part-time working mom can be really tough. It can be overwhelming trying to get it all done and sometimes you lose sight of the really important things.
- Summer temps are finally here and I am not crazy about it at all. Living in a country where air conditioning lacks almost everywhere, I can hardly stand the heat and humidity.
- It's especially awful at work with all the computers and stuff in the office that produce heat. Up until about 10 am it's bearable but after that it's like you can't breathe anymore and the slightest move makes you break out in sweats.
- Losing those pounds I have packed on over the past year since moving back to Germany is so tough. I want to lose them, I really do, it's just so hard.
- Still feeling very homesick for the US and wanting to go back really bad. Someday it will happen and I will be the happiest person on earth.
- Happy about the mood change at work. I'm just a bit worried it'll change back and I don't know if I can go through that all over again.
- Being a mom can be a bit overwhelming at times and I just have one daughter. Geez how do you moms of more even do it?
So, that's my piece of honesty for this week.
Tell me something honest about your week?
Hugs,

P.S. And don't forget to sign up for some fun over here!

Welcome

Hi, I'm Chrissy - a part-time working mom and wife trying to navigate life by taking the pup for a walk while the pasta is cooking, so that lunch is ready on time. My spare time is for blogging and knitting - give me a precious skein of yarn and I am in heaven! Thanks for stopping by - enjoy! xxx

I have one daughter and have to work full time in addition to my handmade business that consumes my evenings. I don't really have anything helpful to say but that I'm jealous you get to work part-time! lol :)
I am glad that the atmosphere at work is better, Chrissy!
I am feeling very homesick for Germany....
Hugs!
I just posted an honest to blog post too about how parenting is a balancing act. I think it is hard for all of us, so don't feel alone.
Does anyone there have AC? I know you're in the countryside, so do you have to drive everywhere or can you walk places? I've been trying to walk or bike everywhere I go, and I've lost 5 lbs since I started about a month ago.
I hope the mood doesn't get sour again at work. I am sending positive vibes there for you!
There are some days that being around the kids just makes me want to scream, but then i look into their beautiful eyes and I melt. They are my angels and I will not give into that temptation to run away pulling my hair out. haha!
xox,
Danielle
I'm feeling so off-kilter this week because of having two days off in the middle of the week. I got to do some fun stuff, but having to go back to work mode today was less than fun. I feel like this week had two Mondays!
I don't really know how anyone does it all, without going insane at least once a day, LOL! Through in some hot, humid weather and craziness is bound to happen! Hang in there!
I know EXACTLY how you feel about working part time. It's such a weird in between - you're not a full time working mom or a stay at home mom ... you try to pack everything in on the days or hours you don't work ... it's exhausting.
All of that to say, I totally know and empathize. HUGS!
Oh, I'm sorry you have so many things to take care of! I can't even imagine how hard it must be to raise a child, let alone having to go to work at the same time. At least, the environment at work improved, which is not a minor detail, right? ;) May it be that way for good and may they get better AC, haha!
Looks like the southern part of Germany finally gets something resembling a summer... but I can sympathize with having no AC. That's tough!
I hope you can still enjoy the summer. Is Leonie on summer break already? Do you get some time off, too?
