Hey guys, how do you like my new design? I am in love with it! The wonderful and talented Grace did it for me and I couldn't be any happier! I will tell you all a bit more about Grace within the next few days. She is moving her blog right now, so as soon as she has settled into her new place, I will officially introduce her to you!
In case you read my post from yesterday, you know that we gave our master bedroom a makeover (actually it's still a work in progress, a few things still need to be "decorated"). I will post before and after pictures when it's completely finished. One thing the makeover gave us was a visit to the emergency ophthalmologist (wow, what a weird word), because the hubs had a metal splinter in his right eye from removing a screw that was stuck in the wall because the winding was worn off. I noticed his eye being all red and strange yesterday morning and to my question what had happened he only replied: "oh well, I guess it's a metal splinter."
Well, oh well, it couldn't stay there! So I frantically started googling which of the doctors near us was on duty, because that's how we Germans roll. We don't have emergency care other than the ER of a hospital, doctor's here have weekend service by turns. Gladly it was a doctor only 25 minutes away from us. She was very sweet, she removed the splinter and gave him some eye cream and today his eye is as good as new. whew
I guess it's safe to say that those kind of things always happen when we decide to do something in the renovating compartment, but that's just the way we roll! haha
So, how was your weekend? Any splinters in your family's eyes or fingers or where-ever those little suckers can end up?
Hugs,

Oh, I am glad you went to the doctor.... I wouldn't take any risks with anything eye-related. Also, your new blog design is gorgeous! Love it!
shut up!! that whole splinter in the eye thing makes me want to throw up. I have a severe phobia of things being too near my eyes. The thought of something actually being inserted into or being pulled out of an eye makes my skin crawl!
Wow love the new design, and i am in shocked about the splinter in the eye! Ouch seriously? i didn't even think that can happen, glad everything is better with his eye though.
I love it! clean and beautiful!
Ouch, that sounds very painful! I had a hole in my eye once.
I love your new design, Chrissy! It is fabulous! Hugs!
Super cute new design, friend! Lovin' it!
Thanks so much!
Danke!!
Thanks so much!
Thank you! Yeah, his eye is ok now, but it was good we went, it wouldn't have come out by it's own.
I adore the new look! Its pretty amazing! I am updating the look of my blog also. haha. I am never happy with it. I can't wait to learn more about Grace!
I am so glad that your hubby's eye is okay. That is so scary.
I used to get horrible eye infections and at one point I thought I was going blind because I couldn't open my eyes without them hurting so bad.
Luckily, I haven't had one of those in forever.
Love ya,
Danielle
Yikes! Just a splinter? What would these men do without us to take care of them? ;) I love the design!
LOVE your new design! It's perfect! Ugh splinters!!!!
Oh goodness, HOW scary! That would be our luck, too. Generally we are just out of whatever screw/missing a key tool/that kind of stuff when we renovate!
Oh, my! How come he hadn't said anything! Good thing the doctor could fix it and now he's doing great :).
And, yes! I love the blog makeover! :D
I wanna see before/after pics of the bedroom! We are redoing our living room and today happened to post before/after pics.
LOVE the new look :]
Ouch! Your poor hubby! So glad he's ok
I LOVE your new design!!
