30 Days of Lists 10 - 15 // Leonie rocking her new scarf from Janee // the Z casa //
caprese salad // fresh figs // Kyra // Miley //
knitting projects // in the vineyards

Another round of 30 Days of Lists. I must say I am really enjoying this challenge, anticipating the new theme of each day and brainstorming what my list will include and what it will look like. I have already made some wonderful new friends - I even met a fellow German - which is such a great side-effect of a project such as this one!

The first week of the new school year lies behind us and everything went really smoothly. Leonie has enjoyed being back at school re-connecting with her friends. She has found her way back to everyday life, being on a schedule, getting up early and taking care of her homework. I must say I am quite proud of her. I love watching her getting more and more independent - gosh, she will be 10 next May - she is growing up so fast, sometimes I feel like I cannot keep up with everything happening. I bet you moms out there know exactly what I mean!

Being on a more healthy diet has turned out to be wonderful. I am feeling a lot better already and the first 11 lbs have vanished! Woohoo - hope to never see them again! Caprese salad has been a favorite around our home all summer long. Our tomato plant has been providing us with fresh tomatoes on a daily basis and the basil we had planted has been delicious! I have also been enjoying trying out new to us fruits and veggies. Those fresh figs were delicious!

I have been knitting up a storm for various projects and have been learning a few new techniques. It's so much fun developing my skills and using them for something special.

I hope you are all enjoying the day - the sun is shining here, so I guess we will be out and about somewhere walking the pup later today!

Hugs,

Awe, Leonie looks so cute! Yay for having lost that much weight! That's a lot! The good thing about dieting is that you get more and more motivated as you see results. It's so rewarding to see that all the effort pays off :P.

Hope you have a great week, Chrissy! ;D

Hi, I'm Chrissy - a part-time working mom and wife trying to navigate life by taking the pup for a walk while the pasta is cooking, so that lunch is ready on time. My spare time is for blogging and knitting - give me a precious skein of yarn and I am in heaven! Thanks for stopping by - enjoy! xxx
