Fall is THE perfect season for knitting. It's the time of year where I could gladly use an extra pair of hands to get all the knitting projects done that I want to tackle. I love cuddling up on the couch with a cup of tea and something fun on my needles.
I enjoy giving handmade presents for Christmas, of course only to those who I know like handmade gifts and will also wear them. There is nothing worse than putting tons of effort and time into something that will only end up in a drawer or, even worse, get re-gifted.
But I do have a few friends and family members who know of my love for knitting and who "order" special items for Christmas or their birthdays. A few of my friends and my SIL would love to have a pair of wrist warmers, so I logged into my Ravelry account and started searching. And I found this pattern for a pair of absolutely gorgeous honeycomb wrist warmers from Pink Brutus Patterns. I love honeycomb (I recently knitted a honeycomb cowl for myself) and fell in love with this fun and simple pattern right away.
This is the second pair I cast on for a friend of mine. The yarn is a soft and cozy alpaca quality I also used to knit one of my cable headbands for her. I know she loves the color and I know she loves knit accessories, so I bet this one will be a winner!
What have you been working on lately? Do you knit?
Happy Hump-Day!
Hugs,
P.S. Did you enter the fun Happy Sprout Pets giveaway?
It's still open til Friday!

Welcome

Hi, I'm Chrissy - a part-time working mom and wife trying to navigate life by taking the pup for a walk while the pasta is cooking, so that lunch is ready on time. My spare time is for blogging and knitting - give me a precious skein of yarn and I am in heaven! Thanks for stopping by - enjoy! xxx

LOOOOVE! I want to start some knitting/crocheting projects for this winter!!
Oh, so amazing! I love that stitch!! You know, my goal is always to try and start working on gifts much earlier, but things keep getting in the way!! This year it's much of the same, unfortunately! One under my belt and a LOT left to do!!
You are so amazing! Love it! I need to learn how to knit!
Happy week, dear! Hugs!
i so wish i could knit! i'd knit myself a pair of these every day (love them!) xx
I'm working on these same mitts! Great minds tink alike. :)
I tried commenting on this thru reader, I guess it didn't work! I love these. so cute.
What a great idea! And the yarn looks really soft and warm! I wish I knew how to knit. My mom taught me, but I couldn't even make a scarf, haha. And I'm trying to learn how to use the sewing machine, but I kinda stink, hehe. I'm too scared of the needle.
Happy midweek, sweet Chrissy! ;D
Those are really pretty! I'm currently working on a really boring pair of men's socks. I just did the heel flap on the second sock, so it should go fairly quickly provided I keep remembering to pick up the needles.
Those are going to be so cute and cozy!! The only knitting I do is the round loom kind... But I've made some tiny baby hats for my friend recently!
I really love these!!
I've tried to teach myself crochet before and it didn't work.. might be time to try again!
Looks great already! Love that texture<3

I love this texture..so pretty! Are you doing this on 3 needles??
I love to knit but I am afraid to venture out from two needles..I need to actually see someone do it and walk me thru it a couple of times..lol!
I actually just posted a project on my blog that I started this week..doing a cowl with cables!
