Monday Musings

Today is a true fall day. It's gloomy out, the wind has been blowing around our house for hours and the rain keeps making it's way through the clouds to pour down on us. It's the perfect weather to cuddle up inside with a hot cup of coffee or tea, a good book or maybe a knitting project, or as in my case to catch up on blog reading.

I have been searching the web for some inspiration and came across a tumblr full of beautiful images and quotes. I just had to pull some of them to put together for today's Musings (I have been asked how I make the collages I post over here. Well, I use PicMonkey which i totally awesome, and totally for free and totally easy to use! Go and try it out!).

These all inspire me in different ways and I can hardly resist printing them out to put them into a frame and to hang them onto my wall in the family room, so I can look at them whenever I need some inspiration. Isn't Marilyn just beautiful?! And that tipi, I mean, who doesn't want to have one? I remember that my sister and I used to have one in our backyard when we were kids and we loved playing in there. It was my secret hideaway when I needed some space. How amazing would it be to have one for Leonie! I bet she'd love that.

What inspires you today? Maybe a project you are working on? Or a song you heard on the radio and can't forget (for me it's "Skyfall" from Adele for the new James Bond movie at the moment - LOVE IT). Or maybe something lovely someone said to you inspires you on this Monday? Do share what it is that keeps you going on the first day of this week!
